[Travel] Semarang 2013 Part I
Here
i am. Reading Gogirl magazine June edition. Ariel Winter looks so cute with her
pink bow on the cover. At the first time i looked the cover, i thought it was
Selena Gomez! Ariel’s eyes and also her nose so much look like selena’s. Oh my
god i feel like i’ve been cheated! Hahaha. Okay forget about Ariel’s eyes and
nose. Let’s talk about my trip. Overall, i enjoyed every spots that i’ve
stopped by. First day, i visited Gedong Songo temple. Silent, peaceful, and mysterious temples are the words
that best described it. The temples are located at about the same
distance from each other on a naturally formed terrace of edge of a mountain.
And there are five temples at every 100 meters. I rode a horse untill the third
temple. At the beginning, i was quite unsure of riding a horse in the forest
and passing steep and curve road. But in the end, the fears slowly disappeared.
It was exciting when i heard a harmony of the horse walk, its whinnying sound,
and the birdsong accompanied me.

After
Gedong Songo Temples, my next destination was Old Town and Lawang Sewu. The
photo above is the capture of Blenduk Church at Old Town. Visited old town in
Semarang, i was reminded by old town in Jakarta. For me, old town in Jakarta is
better than Semarang. Vintage atmosphere of the old buildings are more
pronounced in Jakarta. probably because of the old city in Semarang
surroundings by many office buildings and there are many vehicles passed by.
Then, Lawang Sewu was the last destination of that day. It well-known of
its eerie and scary story. The building was originally established for use as
Het Indische Hoofdkantoor van de Nederlansch Spoorweg Maatscappij (NIS) or the
Railway Headquarters Company Private NIS when the Dutch colonial period. But
Nowadays, it doesn't look scary anymore. Maybe because of the same reason of
old town, it surroundings by many office buildings and there are many vehicles
passed by.
